Bridge and Courthouse
The majestic bridge and the magnificent courthouse. This wonderful and unique view captures both gems while taking in the Arroyo Seco in all of its glory. This trilogy of Pasadena classic treasures makes time stand still and invokes thoughts of grandeur from the past, present and future. The Colorado Street Bridge (aka "suicide bridge") was built in 1913 to span the Arroyo Seco. The courthouse was originally built in 1930 as a grand hotel. (the "Vista Del Arroyo"). During WWII the government claimed the building and converted it to a hospital. After the war the structure became dormant and was up for auction as surplus. Before the public could bid on it, the federal 9th circuit court obtained the building and that's how it is used today. Please contact me for purchase and availability. |
