Everyone that drives by the Rialto Theatre on Fair Oaks avenue looks at the grand old building. Perhaps the admiration is for the Spanish Baroque architecture or maybe for the beautiful colors which have been muted with time. The Rialto opened its doors in 1925 with gala spotlights in the sky alerting everyone to the wonders within. The Rialto has survived much, including a couple of fires. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
