Who can resist the beautiful view of Morro Rock from scenic highway 46 west along the central coast of California. Morro Rock has been a mainstay attraction since it was first sighted in 1542 by Juan Cabrillo. At an elevation of 575 feet, the rock was also known as "the Gibraltar of the Pacific".
